Karin Aguirre Ahumada is a Chilean artist, residing in Houston Texas, United States for 10 years. Her art is oriented towards the understanding of nature and the human being, their physique and their psyche, using magical realism and fantasy portraiture as a means of expression.
She has always had an interest in drawing and painting, which led her to study Architectural Drawing and later to focus on her architectural career.
She soon started a family and decided to devote herself to it completely. But she never gave up her interest in artistic expression, taking classes, courses and workshops to perfect her art.
In recent years, she has completely taken up her artistic work, which led her to exhibit alongside other emerging Chilean women artists in Houston.
Since her arrival in the United States, her interest in the environment grew when she saw the large amount of reusable waste generated by an average family, this led her to focus on the recovery and fusion of materials to generate a new and more sustainable form of expression. artistic that in the future will be translated into a series of new works.
